Tamaya, a producer of fruits and grapes from the Limari Valley in Northern Chile, has reached an agreement with Ecosur to import their wines into the US market, focusing specifically on the Southeast. This is a first for the company and, according to President, Andrew Miller, "we want to make sure that we develop the same solid relationships with our producers in Chile as we have in Argentina." La Puerta winery's 2006 Decimo Aniversario Reserva Bonarda was awarded the trophy for best Bonarda at the The Second Annual Argentina Wine Awards the 21st of February. The results came after a week-long series of tastings conducted by well-known wine professionals at the Park Hyatt in Mendoza. 478 wines were tasted in all, but only four received a trophy, marking them the best example for their particular variety or blend.
